Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport is a major trunk airport in China and a national Class I aviation port.
Located in the southeast of Zhengzhou City, 25 kilometers from the city center, Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport covers an area of 16,000 mu (approximately 1,067 hectares). It has two runways rated 4E and 4F, two terminals (T1 and T2) with a total area of 620,000 square meters, 149 passenger aircraft stands, 9 cargo aircraft stands, and an annual capacity to handle 40 million passengers and 700,000 tons of cargo and mail.
On December 22, 2015, the second phase of Zhengzhou Airport was completed and put into operation. This phase includes the 486,000-square-meter Terminal 2; a 4F-grade runway and taxiway system, with the runway being 3,600 meters long; a passenger apron with 79 stands and a cargo apron with 4 stands; a newly built 274,000-square-meter Comprehensive Transportation Hub (GTC); as well as new cargo terminals, an air catering center, a power center, and other auxiliary production facilities.
In 2014, Beijing Jinghang'an Airport Engineering Co., Ltd. undertook the visual aid-to-navigation lighting project for the north airfield and the apron power supply, distribution, and lighting project for the second expansion phase of Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport. In 2015, the company was awarded the honor of "Advanced Unit in Quality, Schedule, and Safety Management" by the Zhengzhou Airport Construction Headquarters.
