Entering June, Chengdu entered the rainy season, which significantly impacted construction, posing another severe challenge for the project department. To ensure normal construction progress, the project department proactively developed emergency plans for flood and lightning protection, diligently protected completed works, prevented secondary disasters caused by rain, and established scientific construction scheduling for the rainy season to minimize the impact on progress.
Recently, with the arrival of the dog days of summer and continuously rising temperatures, project staff have been working under the scorching sun, battling the heat and sweltering conditions, racing to advance the project schedule amid pouring sweat, once again demonstrating Jinghang'an's fine tradition and work ethic of "particularly able to endure hardship, particularly able to fight."
Through the joint efforts of the project team, the installation of light boxes on the east runway and all construction work for pipelines, cables, and manholes in the airfield area have been completed. Currently, the lighting station has also entered the phase of equipment delivery and installation.

It is reported that Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is the largest civilian transport hub airport in China's "13th Five-Year Plan" and currently the largest newly built domestic airport following Beijing Daxing Airport. The project officially commenced construction in 2016 and is expected to be put into operation in July 2021.
